First, did I really use the wrong "here" in yesterday's post, no worries now I fixed it. Stupid scale had me all worked up lol...I promise I know the difference. Ugh, that's almost as bad as yesterday's weigh in!
Last night, Rebecca and I finished week 5. I ran for 20 mins, straight. Snail's pace, but I did it. We have two more days of intervals and then it is just straight running. Here is where I hope to gain some speed and endurance. I think I am going to run in the Sept 11 race. That's a little less than a month away and I just don't know if I can do it. I mean yes the 3.1 miles or whatever I could do with a walk/run combo. No doubt. But running it and a good time? Doubtful! I guess just getting out there and doing it is enough. I just don't want to be last. At all. This is a race for the Humane Society though so people will be walking/running with animals so if I finish last I will really be crushed lol :)
I am hitting some yard sales this weekend, need to find some things for my brother's new place - dishes and such so no better places :) I am really going to watch every single thing I put in my mouth this weekend. I can not and will not be relaxed over this weekend, food wise!
Have a great Friday ....

4 day weekend
I was blessed with a four day weekend. Our Governor declared Friday a "Holiday" for state employees to honor an amazing man, Senator and true West Virginian - Robert Byrd. Senator Byrd passed away June 28 and was the LONGEST serving Senator this country had ever had. He truly did deserve his own day! This man did more for West Virgina than most people could dream. He is a true hero. I hope to do a post on him sometime soon to help capture and highlight what a great man he truly was!
However, the four day weekend was very enjoyable and I felt like I got some stuff done as well as see and spend time with some of my favorite family and friends! I had cookouts, swimming, running, fireworks, family and friends, and TONS of food to help make this four day weekend so nice!
My parents came up to visit, I spend yesterday in a pool drinking champagne and enjoying some vitamin D, I had tons of yummy food at various cookouts and I visited my friends at their camp site to see some amazing fire work displays!
And of course, always in the back of my mind I remembered the reason why we were celebrating. We live in America! We have men and women that fight everyday so we can enjoy our safe and cozy lifes and not worry! We have a Savior that died for our sins and created such an amazing nation. We truly are blessed and no amount of celebreating could ever come close to touching every great thing about the USA!

Friday Fragments

1. This is the first weekend since May I haven't been stressed. Life is slowing done. Apartment is coming together. No worries about G'ma and everything is going OK too.
2. I am dogsitting my friends pup. Buster is LOVING having a playmate. I miss my old yard now though. She is a great dog and we look forward to seeing her all week :)
3. Next weekend is a LOOONNNGGG weekend! WHOOHOO! I am not sure what I will do but hopefully nothing to stressful!
4. My brother's car blew up :( However, this means I have been taking him to and from work. It has been nice seeing him for those time periods. I have a really awesome brother.
5. I have been doing Weight Watchers at work. I am down almost 20lbs! Still have a lot of weight to lose, but my first big goal is 30. Almost there :)
6. I went to dinner last night with my potential roommate, he is coming back in a week to stay two weeks. Hopefully this works out, the extra income would be AWESOME!
7. Guilty pleasure of the weekend will be catching up on the RealHousewives of NJ and NY. :)
