The First of Many....
A belated Merry Christmas everyone! :) I hope everyone spent the day with people they love and enjoyed being together. This was my first Christmas with the boy and the first with his family. I was nervous and not really sure what to expect but everything was perfect. I think his parents enjoyed having me and I know I enjoyed being there. His Dad made a hue amount of seafood dishes the night before so we just ate on leftovers, opened presents and hung out. It was a surreal moment knowing that this was going to be The first of many...

4 day weekend
I was blessed with a four day weekend. Our Governor declared Friday a "Holiday" for state employees to honor an amazing man, Senator and true West Virginian - Robert Byrd. Senator Byrd passed away June 28 and was the LONGEST serving Senator this country had ever had. He truly did deserve his own day! This man did more for West Virgina than most people could dream. He is a true hero. I hope to do a post on him sometime soon to help capture and highlight what a great man he truly was!
However, the four day weekend was very enjoyable and I felt like I got some stuff done as well as see and spend time with some of my favorite family and friends! I had cookouts, swimming, running, fireworks, family and friends, and TONS of food to help make this four day weekend so nice!
My parents came up to visit, I spend yesterday in a pool drinking champagne and enjoying some vitamin D, I had tons of yummy food at various cookouts and I visited my friends at their camp site to see some amazing fire work displays!
And of course, always in the back of my mind I remembered the reason why we were celebrating. We live in America! We have men and women that fight everyday so we can enjoy our safe and cozy lifes and not worry! We have a Savior that died for our sins and created such an amazing nation. We truly are blessed and no amount of celebreating could ever come close to touching every great thing about the USA!

My Goals
I am a little late writing this post - but I wanted to write, for my record and a way to look back next Jan and see where I have been.
Family
I want to spend more time with them. I have grandparents who are ill, parents who are stressed and a family that is more scattered than I wish to think about. But I want to make more time for longer phone conversations, more visits and more memories.
I want to be closer to starting my own lol. This is something very important to me, and I pray that God sees it in my near future.
Work
I want to find a job I love. I don't mind my current job, I like most of the people in my office - but I want/need more money and really want something I LOVE.
Finances
I want to have at least my personal goal to be in savings. I want to spend a little less but still have money to do things I want. Is this possible??
Organization
I want to become more organized. From my car to my desk to even my closet I need better organization.
I want to have a better grasp on papers and keeping my desk clean. I really need to become more organized.
Exercise
I will be at the gym no less than 4 days a week!
I will loose the weight this year. No if/ands/or buts!
Health
I will start to eat better, avoid fast food and make better food choices.
School
I will finish these four courses in the spring and be in grad school in the fall!
I will keep uptodate on my laundry - even putting it away.
I will get up for work early and on time. And make sure I am put together before I leave.
I will no longer hit the SNOOZE button 23439 times before crawling out of bed.
I will get my 8 glasses of water a day and enjoy them, LOL
I will spend more time with people that make me happy and less with those who don't.
I will go on another 2 trips this year. Somewhere, anywhere anything PLEASE.
I will go to the beach this year^ this can be one of my trips it just HAS to happen
I will take better care of me.
I will try to be happier than yesterday, everyday! :)
